Developmental Strategies Sessions Example Clips

Scenario:  Enzo is 12 months old, and the family’s goal is for him to be able to walk across the room independently by Christmas.

DISCLAIMER:  It is age appropriate to not be walking until 17 or 18 months. I like to assess by 14 months to make sure that there are no other issues that are delaying the walking that should be addressed. In this scenario, the family understands this, and we decided based on Enzo’s current developmental abilities, including him being able to crawl well on hands and knees, that this goal would be appropriate for him… and we can always adjust our goals.

Overall, our intention is to build a strong foundation supporting children to be the best them they can be and empowering caregivers to feel confident, competent, and capable.
